My name is Stephen Fontana, I'm a Brooklyn native, father of two, avid D&D player, and a self-proclaimed coffee addict. For as long as I can remember, I've been passionate about creating a space for kids and teens to learn, grow, and connect with each other. This passion stems from my own experiences at a place called "Gamers Illusions" during my pre-teen years. It was a small haven where I forged friendships, played games, and felt a sense of belonging. Unfortunately, the store closed after a couple of years, leaving me with lasting memories of the positive impact it had on my life.

Now, I am on a mission to recreate that sense of community for the next generation in the Dyker/Bensonhurst neighborhoods of Brooklyn. 

In the spirit of fostering social interactions and providing a safe haven for children and teens, I am excited to introduce The Kobold Café Brooklyn. Our vision is to establish a table-top gaming café that offers gaming events, after-school programs, private parties, and more.

Kobold Café will not only be a hub for gaming enthusiasts but also a place where everyone can enjoy refreshments such as coffee, tea, juice, and baked goods from local bakeries. We are dedicated to collaborating with local schools and businesses to create a welcoming and safe environment for children of all ages to relax, learn, and make lasting friendships.

I am not undertaking this endeavor alone. With eight years of experience in corporate construction as an estimator and a background in restaurant management, I am confident in my ability to make Kobold Café a reality. Moreover, I am fortunate to have a network of friends across various industries who are eager to contribute their expertise and support.
